I have been living in New York for many years, but part of my heart has remained in Albania, tied to a hope that has never left me.
I have always been searching for my niece,
Ermira P., born in Albania on April 14th, 1982, and adopted in 1991 at the age of 9.
I am her father’s sister.
He is very ill now, and he asks about her every day.
There is not a night he sleeps peacefully — he often wakes up saying her name, “Ermira…”.
So I am writing on his behalf, because his greatest wish is to see her again, even for a moment, or at least know that she is well and has lived a good life.
Ermira, if you ever read this message…
please know that you have never been forgotten.
Your family has always loved you and thought of you every single day.
I kindly ask everyone to share this appeal as much as possible.
Please help us bring these words to her.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
